Program Description

SMS Relay is a Slack bot that bridges your Slack channels with SMS. When you subscribe, messages posted in the channel are forwarded to your phone via SMS. You can reply directly via SMS and your response will be posted back to the Slack channel.

Sample Messages

Examples of messages you might receive or send:

• "Hey there you guys around?"
• "yea, ill be there in 5min"
• "Meeting moved to 3pm"
• "Sounds good, thanks!"

How to Subscribe

Users opt in by entering their phone number in their Slack profile. The opt-in process works as follows:

1. Open your Slack profile and click "Edit"
2. In the "Edit About me" dialog, locate the SMS Relay field
3. Enter your phone number in the format 555-555-5555
4. Review the consent notice displayed below the field
5. Click "Save Changes" to complete your opt-in

At the point of opt-in, users see the following consent notice:

"Enter phone number (555-555-5555) to receive Slack messages via SMS. By doing so, you are allowing to receive SMS communications from Lehman Software LLC. message and data rates may apply. reply STOP to opt-out."

To opt out, users can either remove their phone number from this field or text STOP to the SMS number.

What Data We Collect

To provide this service, we collect and process:

• Your phone number (required to send and receive SMS)
• Slack channel messages (to forward to your phone)
• Your SMS replies (to post back to Slack)

How We Use Your Data

Your data is used solely to relay messages between Slack and SMS. Messages are processed in real-time and are not stored after delivery.

What We Don't Do

• We do not sell or share your data with third parties.
• We do not use your data for marketing purposes.
• We do not retain messages after they are delivered.

By using SMS Relay, you agree to the following:

• This is a free service provided as-is.
• There are no warranties of any kind.
• Use this service at your own risk.
• We are not responsible for any issues, damages, or losses that may occur from using this service.
• We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the service at any time.

Message Frequency

Message frequency varies based on activity in the Slack channels you subscribe to. You will receive one SMS per channel message.

Opt-Out Instructions

You can stop receiving messages at any time:

• Text STOP to unsubscribe from SMS notifications.
